This is a tutorial article which will teach you to how to customize android home screen with a Ultra Uber-Classic look which I call it ‘Simple Vanilla’. 

After playing around with many eye-candy tools and wallpapers and widgets;  there came a time when I was bored of all these and just wanted to customize android home screen with a simple yet classic and most productive way to handle my phone.

Below are some screen shots which I have provided for reference. ( Shows my android home screen customization)

If you like this classic interface, and want your phone to look this way, there is a tutorial at the later stage.

There is no need to root your phone to customize android home screen. However, rooting adds more power to customize

  1. Thank you for taking the time to teach us. I found this very informative. Very helpful. Right now I’m using a launcher called Buzz and it is supposed to provide you with all of the files needed to display the screen as you have shown us, but with out having to piece it together, but it doesn’t often work. I click on the widget, which is already part of the Buzz package, an it opens UCCW, but then I sometimes do not find the custom widget amongst the other skins. Very frustrating. But you have provided awesome videos to teach us how to make our own or at least modify. I am very grateful… so thank you. 🙂
